Nicotine addiction is the biggest threat to human life globally. It initially damages the lungs and then ultimately kills. It also leads to respiratory disorders and lung cancer. A recent study in Europe found that the smokers who consume more Apples and Tomatoes have better chances of restoring their lungs damage caused by the excessive smoking. Consuming these foods postpones the aging of lungs.
This theory applies to non-smokers too. Non-smokers, taking Apples and Tomatoes in their diet slows down the aging process. The quantity should not be too large. We know that tomatoes are rich in anti-oxidants which can reduce heart diseases and cancer. Both apples and tomatoes are rich in Vitamin-c, which is a rich source of immune-boosting to our body. Apples have the rich antioxidant called quercetin, which helps the lungs to absorb more oxygen and supply to the body. As it said, “An apple a day, keeps the doctor away”. Tomato also joined the list.
