Mass Maharaja, Ravi Teja scored multiple commerical hits in the past and he is testing his luck with Disco Raja, which is billed to be a new-age sci-fi thriller. The film garnered good expectations with its attractive teasers and songs. Adding to that, VI Anand, who has carved a niche for himself by making films with unique subjects directed this film. Let’s see if Disco Raja has what it takes to keep the audience entertained.

Sethu(Bobby Simha) is a fierce criminal who clashes with Disco Raja(Ravi Teja), a witty and clever protagonist. Sethu tries to take revenge on Disco Raja by targeting his family. In response, Disco Raja uses technology to counter Sethu. The rest of the story reveals how Hellen (Payal Rajput), and Nabha(Nabha Natesh) are related to Disco Raja and the way in which Disco Raja comes up against Sethu.

All thanks to the technological advancements, humans are able to extend their lifespans by using medical sciences. Adding to that, humans develop a technology which restores life after death. This concept forms the plotline of Disco Raja.

The first half of the film runs at a quick pace and has many surprise elements. A film like Disco Raja needs gripping visuals and the cinematographer Karthik Ghattamaneni delivers just that. His brilliant work behind the camera is clearly seen on the big silver screens.

The director, VI Anand picked a unique subject and infused all the necessary commerical elements into it. His narrative is crisp and keeps the audience on the edge of the seats.

Anyone who watches Disco Raja will feel that no one else but Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja could have done complete justice to Disco Raja role. His energy is unmatchable and he carries the film on his shoulders with his screen presence. VI Anand proves that Ravi Teja still has loads of energy, and if utilized properly, he can deliver a stunning performance. Ravi Teja is presented in a very stylish manner in the film and he shows many variations in his role.

Bobby Simha is seen as the antagonist Sethu and he matches Ravi Teja with his performance. His act as the lead antagonist is very natural and impressive.

Payal Rajput is one of the most sought-after heroines in Tollywood of late and she took a daring decision of sorts in regard to her role in Disco Raja. Her character is very appealing and needs to be watched on the big screen if its beauty is to be enjoyed.

Nabha Natesh is good in her role and delivers what is needed of her. Tanya Hope is good as well. They play strong roles in the film.

Ram Talluri did not compromise with the making values and went all in on the project. The film was shot in Manali, Chennai, and Ice Land. Ram Talluri and Rajini Talluri are to be appreciated for their work.

Naresh, Vennela Kishore, Sathya, etc. play important roles in the film and they are apt. Disco Raja shaped up as a commercial family entertainer, thanks to the efforts of the cast and crew.

Thaman, who is in fine nick lately has given another commendable audio album for Disco Raja. His background score is very good and it works pretty well for the film.

Disco Raja will entertain class and mass audience. It ticks all the right boxes to keep all sections of the audience engaged. It is a good watch this weekend.
